Way to Nicaea, The [softcover]

This series traces the reflection provoked by Christ’s question “Who do you say I am?” from the earliest days of Christianity to the Seventh Ecumenical Council. The problems tackled range from fundamental issues, concerning how Christ is known and the standard by which reponses to him can be evaluated, to the reflections regarding his relation to God and to us. This text presents the history of theological reflection and a sustained analysis of the essential elements of the resulting theology.John Behr
