God Did It – Mervin Mayo

Mervin Mayo, the Richmond, VA cop who went viral in 2020 with millions of views of him seated in uniform, playing a portable keyboard, belting out gospel songs at a church rehearsal, is releasing his new album, God Did It. This nine-track delivery pairs his raspy sandpapery tenor with bold messages of faith, heightened by retro R&B flavors. Mervins captivating tenor fluctuates between tender high notes & gritty low ones filling your ears with hues of treasured soul men such as David Ruffin, Bobby Womack, & The Dells Marvin Junior. All of what Mayo presents comes with a palette of classic soul & 90s R&B colors, saturated with a passionate message of inspiration!1. In This Place
