Saint Pio

Padre Pio, born Francesco Forgione in 1887, was the son of poor Italian farmers. He became a Capuchin priest and eventually, an inspiration to millions. As Pope Paul VI explained: He said Mass humbly, heard confessions from morning until night and was a marked representative of the stigmata of Our Lord. He was truly a man of prayer and suffering. Padre Pios favorite advice was Pray, hope and dont worry.Feast Day: September 23Patronage: Civil Defense Volunteers, Stress/Anxiety
