Saint Patrick

Originally from Scotland, Patrick was kidnapped by pirates at only 14 and enslaved as a shepherd in Ireland. There, Patricks faith grew. He prayed in the woods and on the mountains, day and night. After returning to Scotland, Patrick became a priest and a bishop. God then called him to preach the Gospel in Ireland. Patrick converted thousands, performed many miracles, and popularly used the shamrock to explain the Trinity.Feast Day: March 17Patronage: Engineers, Ireland, Shepherds
