Third Day Wire / Essential Records Audio CD 2004 / 83061-0728-2UPC 083061072827 Made in USASummary:Wireis the seventh album byChristian rockbandThird Day. It breaks from the style of the band’s previous albums to return to simple, rock and roll-driven melodies. To quoteAllmusic’s review of the album, “Third Day has stripped away the shine and gotten back to the grittiness of being a rock & roll band.”The album is largely carried by the energeticguitarriffs that pervade its songs, although the forceful lyrics also contribute significantly. The album’s songs deal with numerous themes. “Wire”, the title track, is a song about the pressure to succeed in modern society. “I Believe”, “I Got a Feeling”, “Innocent”, and other tracks deal withsin, faith, and renewal from aChristianperspective. “Billy Brown” is a song that explores the readiness of people to follow and even idolize entertainment figures.Label:Essential Records 83061-0728-2Format:CD, AlbumCountry:USReleased: May 4, 2004Genre:RockStyle:Pop RockTracklist:1’Til The Day I DieWords By Mac Powell2 Come On Back To MeWords By Mac Powell3WireWords By Mark Lee 4RockstarWords By Mac Powell5I BelieveWords By Mac Powell6It’s A ShameWords By Mac Powell7BlindWords By Mac Powell8I Got A FellingWords By Mac Powell9You Are MineWords By Mac Powell10InnocentWords By Mark Lee 11Billy BrownWords By Mac Powell12San AngeloWords By Mac Powell13I Will Hold My Head HighWords By Mark LeeA&R [Consultant] Robert BeesonA&R [Production] Michelle PearsonArt Direction Scott Hughes, Stephanie McBrayerBass Tai AndersonDesign [Cover And Packaging] Bert SumnerDrums David Carr Engineer Don McCollister, Skidd MillsEngineer [Additional] Billy BowersEngineer [Pre Production] Matt GoldmanEngineer [Second Mixing Engineer] Karl EgsiekerEngineer [Second] Mac Attkisson, Scott HardinExecutive-Producer Dan Raines, Dave Novik, Terry HemmingsGuitar Brad Avery, Mark Lee Management [Business] O’Neil Hagaman, PLLCMastered By Bob LudwigMixed By Brendan O’BrienMusic By Third DayPhotography By Marina ChavezProducer, Piano [Additional], Mellotron [Additional], Organ [Additional Church Organ], Acoustic Guitar [Additional], Arranged By [Additional String Arrangements], Programmed By [Additional] Paul EbersoldVocals, Acoustic Guitar Mac Powell
