Baby Quilt: May Magnificat (Large)

Inspired by the classic Catholic poem, The May Magnificat by Jesuit Priest and poet Gerard Manley Hopkins, our May Magnificat print is a gorgeous celebration of the Blessed Mother and new life.Dancing on the deep spruce background, are the joyful signs of spring listed by Fr. Hopkins in the poem. Cherry and apple blossoms, the throstle on her nest, the cuckoo, eggs, feathers, grasses and blooms. The lamb and bunny leap across the spread, welcoming May- the month of Mary. Most important of all, is the Blessed Mother, cradling baby Jesus in her arms.On the reverse, weve featured a lovely light sky blue-gray stripe. We couldnt leave our bigger kids out of the fun! When we received the samples of our first baby quilts, our whole family fell in love with them. So we thought- why not make blankets big enough for anyone in the family to use?

These gorgeous large throws are the perfect size for snuggling on the couch, and are a beautiful addition to a childs bed.
