My First Bible Stories The Prodigal Son

This is the popular story of a farmer’s son who leaves home and spends all his father’s money on parties and having a good time. He is eventually left hungry and alone and longing to return home. He fears that, having behaved so badly, he will not be welcome but his father is in fact overjoyed to see his son and welcomes him with open arms. This beautifully illustrated parable demonstrates that God will joyfully welcome and forgive anyone who strays but eventually comes back to him. This popular story from the New Testament is part of a series of parables, retold simply and clearly with beautifully illustrations and next steps at the back of the book to encourage further discussion. The perfect first introduction to Jesus’ much-loved stories for young children.
