Our Lady of Perpetual Help

The icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help depicts Mary comforting little Jesus as he clings to her, frightened at the idea of his suffering and death. This title demonstrates Marys unique closeness with Jesus and her role as a motherly protector for each of us. The original icon is at the Church of Saint Alphonsus in Rome. Pope Pius IX asked the Redemptorist Fathers to make her known throughout the world.Feast Day: June 27Patronage:All In Need, First Responders, Law Enforcement, Military
