Reform or Die

In Reform or Die, seven women theologians avoid the double pitfall of destructive pessimism and blissful optimism and propose an approach which is based on biblical, theological, but also sociological and pastoral expertise. They address the most urgent subjects: the lessons of the abuse crisis, the place given to women, synodality, welcoming the poorest, and the challenges of inclusion in the contemporary world.

“These essays are seven invitations to dare to live out the Gospel in freedom, determination, and boldness.” So states the foreword to this collection of essays by seven women theologians who address issues of concern in today’s Catholic Churchissues such as the fallout from the sexual abuse scandals, the structure of religious life, the role of women in the Church, the importance of listening to the poor, and the need for inclusion and inculturation
