Saint Josemaria Escriva

Born in Spain in 1902, Josemaria Escriva founded Opus Dei, an organization which emphasizes that all of us are called to sainthood and can strive for holiness in the everyday, no matter what our state in life. Sometimes, Gods hand was evident in Escrivas life. In 1954, he was miraculously cured of diabetes, which he had suffered from for many years. Escriva became a central figure in 20th-century Catholicism.Feast Day: June 26Patronage: Diabetics, Job Seekers, Ordinary Life
